The furniture restoration and antique restoration techniques we employ here at Central Avenue Strip Shop involve removing everything, including old paint, dirt, and varnish. They can and will be safely removed from all furniture and antiques using a variety of different processes. Once the stripping is done, we will start the finishing process.

When we strip and refinish kitchen cabinets, we use a vacuum to remove the dirt and dust. Our team will then remove the drawers and cabinet doors, and bring them back to the shop. Frames are stripped and refinished in the client’s house, and we apply a five-coat finish to complete the process. 

Our chair caning process at Central Avenue Strip Shop involves the application of rattan cane to a piece of furniture, especially the backs of seats or chairs.
